Playing steam games on different windows 11 users

So I want to play steam games that I have on my main account on my guest account. Almost all games work except games that need their own launchers like rockstar and ea. (I have games like valheim and thief simulator that work perfectly fine on the guest user.) Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I don’t think you can login to Rockstar Games (like Gtav) as another player without another license. Rockstar asks you to login to Social Club to verify your license. Steam doesn’t have anything to do with it, (*read below) it’s just a launcher, once launched you still have to verify with Social Club as far as I remember.
*Also, any games distributed on Steam that uses third party DRM to verify the gamer credential will not have the option of game sharing through Family Share (as per your other post) which from memory (GTAV at least) includes Rockstar Games. This is to my understanding. I no longer use steam, I gave it all to my son. I bought GTA independently.

Yea but I want to play as same player is that possible in any way?

I don’t see why not. Have you tried creating a shortcut to the launcher?

GTAV (at least) can run without installing anything into the main PC programs folder. You can move it to wherever you like with the help of registry changes. My GTAV is on a separate drive from my operating system.
However, now when you launch Rockstar it can actually search for any installed instances of the games on your PC regardless of where they are, via “settings/Scan PC for supported installs”

I should mention, Rockstar creates a Rockstar folder in My Documents. I am not sure how that would work being in a different Windows user account. You would probably have to tweak a registry key for that user to point the user to the admins Rockstar documents folder, although again, I am not sure how that would work. I am not exactly sure about this with Rockstar, but there are reg tweaks for a lot of aspects of Rockstar Games that don’t break the TOS.
Rockstar forums would be your best bet. If you’re playing as the same user then I can’t imagine you’d be doing anything wrong.

No one has answered my post on the rockstar forums so can you please explain that way that could work in a way that is easier to understand so I can try it?

This is doable as I do it from when I game on my main rig and backup rig. Simply install the Steam app and games you wish to play on the other PC or guest account, and make sure you're logged off the previous app before logging into the next app.

Also, the games will sync so if you play say Skyrim on one machine, and then move to the next, those saves will be there.

As for games not tied to Steam and requiring their own launchers, well that's something I can't answer. I've only experimented with Steam.

When you start up a Rockstar game (GTAV?) Does the Rockstar Games Launcher open? Or does the game just start?
When you installed GTA via Steam, did it ask you if you wanted to install for “All Users”?

When I launch rdr2 rockstar launcher opens. And when I downloaded it there was no questions about downloading to all users.

But on the guest user when I click play on steam the button changes and then goes back to play

All I can suggest if you want to try it, is the following
A. Try create a shortcut to the launcher in your user account and launch indipendently of Steam, if there is a launcher. Or
B. Install the rockstar launcher in your user account and then open Launcher, go to settings and search for installed games

At your own risk; I don’t want to take responsibility for anything going wrong. These are only suggestions, as I don’t use Steam anymore and I bought GTAV independently for PC, I can not rightly say either will work or is possible.

Not sure why you need to access them in a user account rather than your admin account, but I am sure you have your reason. Also not sure what you mean by the Rockstar forum members not understanding what you want. It’s a simple request?

I have two Windows 11 accounts on the same PC, an Admin & a User account
How can I play my Rockstar Games in both my admin and user account using the same Social Club credentials
