@Cliff S got me looking at this - I have been focused on the functionality, not performance
In most things I am seeing poorer performance in Windows 11 vs. Windows 10. NVME disk benchmarks are down from 3000-3500 MB/s to around 1800 MB/s. Benchmarks like Realbench 2.56 really suffer. For instance the image editing portion of Realbench in Windows 11 takes 37 seconds, way up from 22 seconds Windows 10. Some benchmarks, like x264 encoding and Cinebench, which are pretty much pure CPU, are about the same. 3D games play without any performance loss.
Windows don't open as quickly, even though I have a RAM cache in front of them - just not snappy.
Was wondering what others are measuring and experiencing.
