I have a PC Power & Cooling Turbo Cool 450ATX from 2002 which is made by Win-Tact for $500. It died twice, first time it was under warranty in 2007 . Second time was in 2017 or so, I replaced all the capacitors with Japanese capacitors and it's still running 24/7/365. Looks like PCP&C was sold to FirePower Technology in 2014 after it's OCZ. I wonder if PCP&C is still better than the other brands though.

When it comes to power supplies, there is no point in being loyal to a particular brand. Even the same brand has different manufacturers, depending on the model.

Some brands, like Seasonic have very generous warranties, usually 10 to 12 years. They have never let me down and they run silently. All solid wins in my book.

This is also of high importance as my hi-fi system is built around my PC and why I also prefer PS's that disable/quiet down the fans.

This isn't an endorsement, but Puget Systems, the high-end custom builder, uses Super Flower.

I haven't owned one from them. Mostly eVGA for the past few years, but now BeQuiet! in my primary system.

(The only eVGA PSU I've disliked was my most recent one, Supernova 1600 G+. It had excessive fan noise, which appears to be typical for that unit. I should have checked reviews before buying it.)

Quiet isn't a word next to my case as I have like 12 fans that sound like a 747. LOL. Hopefully Seasonic uses quality capacitors as in Japanese which is usually where PSU's fail.

I have never looked for anything like that. My only laptop is a cheap, slow Lenovo.

Yeah, I cannot do the loud system stuff. The case I have can do 9 case fans. I never upgraded past the 3 x 140mm that the case came with. I have a BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler on my CPU and it's extremely quiet. An my fans on my 3080 only ramp up under heavy gaming, and then I am playing with a headset so I don't notice the noise. Rest of the time though, I have to physically look at the system to see if it's on, as I cannot hear it.

My Previous System had a EVGA G3 650 watt,

My Newer AMD Based Desktop has a High Power 750 Watt 80 Plus Ceritified Power supply.

If its recommended to upgrade this High Power one as soon as possible, then might try to get a replacement at Christmas either Be Quiet, Corasir, or Seasonic 750 Watt, as at this point of time not planning any future big upgrades that would require more than 750 watt.

*I've done Power Supply upgrades in the past on Old Systems, and my older I7 Desktop, so don't think it would be too hard on this Ibuypower Ready Build, unless Techs made the the connections super tight, and i can't get the power cables out lol, but hopefully that won't be the case when i'm ready to replace it either at Christmas or Birthday in February*

My Newer AMD Based Desktop has a High Power 750 Watt 80 Plus Ceritified Power supply.

If its recommended to upgrade this High Power one as soon as possible, then might try to get a replacement at Christmas either Be Quiet, Corasir, or Seasonic 750 Watt, as at this point of time not planning any future big upgrades that would require more than 750 watt.

*I've done Power Supply upgrades in the past on Old Systems, and my older I7 Desktop, so don't think it would be too hard on this Ibuypower Ready Build, unless Techs made the the connections super tight, and i can't get the power cables out lol, but hopefully that won't be the case when i'm ready to replace it either at Christmas or Birthday in February*

There are a variety of 80 plus certifications. 80 Plus - Wikipedia Some of the more persnickety PC builders wouldn't touch anything that wasn't at least a Gold.

"Connections super tight"? Power cables typically use locking connectors. They're pushed in until the lock engages. The same for everyone. Pulling them may require some strength in the fingers to release the lock. Pliers may be helpful, if you can reach with them.

Or were you joking?

Well not joking, my old Asus 24 Pin connection was so tight, i barely could get it disconnected in 2018 when i did my last PSU upgrade on my old Intel I7 7700 System.

I haven't tried on this newer IbuyPower Build yet, til i decide which replacement getting, and have it here for install, then hopefully it all goes smoothly

I shall find out in the future

Probably gonna aim for 750 Watt 80 Plus Gold for next one i think

I've never seen "tight".

But the (thumb) pressure needed to release the lock can be pretty high.
