Preview Pane does not show .txt files

Thanks for this message, because I find it very useful.

I have problems with the extensions: .docx, .pdf, .txt, .xlsx, etc.

I was wondering if there was the same kind of registry key for .docx and .xlsx extensions and others.

Because if now, I am able to see .txt, in the Explorer Preview Pane, I am unable to see .docx, .pdf, .xlsx, etc.

For docx and xlsx, try reinstall/repair of Office (or whatever you may use as an Office substitute).

For pdf, try installing/reinstalling a PDF viewer/editor. I use the free version of PDF-XChange Editor, but there are many other good options.

It's difficult because those previews are specific shell extensions provided by the application.

Please let us know if you find anything that works for you.
