Solved Problem When Activating

Windows 11 Home 25H2 (OS Build: 26200.7849)
I got a new laptop for Christmas that came with Windows 11 Home, but when I try to upgrade and activate Windows 11 Pro, I get this error "We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key. If you think you have a valid digital license or key, select troubleshoot below. Error code: 0xC004c060." When I click troubleshoot it says detecting activation problems then says "We found a Windows 11 Home digital license for this device running Windows 11 Pro. To activate using this digital license, you need to install Windows 11 Home." The issue is that the license I'm trying to use I have used before without any issues, so how can I use my Windows 11 Pro key to activate Windows?

It makes a difference what kind of key you are using to upgrade home to Pro. Is it a Windows 10 Pro license, a Windows 11 Pro license. It has to be a retail key not an OEM key. If it is a Windows 11 Pro key, surely you can remember where you got it and what kind of key it is..

I got it from Walmart and it is a retail key

I'm still having issues upgrading, but I did a system reset and got window 11 Home activated and I'm just going to stick with that.

Try a clean installation of Windows 11 Pro offline.

Then key in the Product Key that you purchased from Walmart and go online to activate your Windows.

It should activate if you have not used it to activate another pc before that.

The problem here is Microsoft thinks you are trying to use the key to activate Windows on multiple machines.
