I have a blue circle covering my OneDrive icon on taskbar with a black exclamation in the circle. What does this mean. I do not see error message and settings says all files synced.

Same here. Started happening yesterday. I tried all the suggested solutions and while I got it to go away I succeeded in not being able to log in to my account. So I did a restore and will live with it.

Apparently it’s like a notification that there is information for you to address/read… somewhere. It’s apparently a notification badge, not a sync error and indicates informational alerts or account messages

All I can find:
- Click the OneDrive icon in the taskbar
- Look for banner messages or pop-ups at the top
- Check Settings > Account > Sync status to confirm all files are synced

To dismiss it:
- Open OneDrive settings
- Navigate to the Notifications tab (if available)
- Acknowledge or dismiss any pending alerts

I agree. There is nothing legitimate for me that warrants a notification is pending. Bet it goes away just as it appeared.

Pause Syncing for an hour or so, see if that corrects the issue after the fact.

When I unlock my personal vault the blue "I" goes away until it locks due to the timer I set or if I lock it manually. This never happened until a few weeks back. Onedrive gives you a message stating it is unlocked when you click on the icon so why bother with the ambiguous blue "I".
