Problem with use

Hello everyone. I have a problem with the asus tuf F15 laptop. I have such a problem that with a newly installed system without games, it accelerates to 82 degrees Celsius and takes up 64% of RAM. Is this normal? When buying this laptop, I was counting on less demand. What do you think about it?

Is this a new or used laptop?
If this is a used laptop, I would try blowing out the dust.

Also... 64% RAM usage is high (for 16GB installed). Check task manager to see what is using all the RAM.

As @FreeBooter said, it depends on what you are doing with the laptop when it's at 82 deg. Per the specs on that cpu, maximum junction temperature is 100 deg. Celsius. If the 82 deg. you are reporting is at or near idle, that's way too hot. I would think the cpu would be close to throttling at that point.

As for as ram, using mine as an example, using Windows 11 with no windows open except for 2 tabs in Firefox, I'm using 7 1/2 gb ram. If yours is using 64% (that's 10 gb)

Open task manager, click on the header at the top of both cpu and memory columns. That should sort the processes putting the heaviest ram and cpu users at the top of the list so you can more easily determine what's hogging your resources.

Granted, I have a lot of things disabled. But The worst RAM usage I see in Win 10 or Win 11, is about 30% of 16GB.
Like News and Interests, Widgets, and 99% of Microsoft Apps are gone.

I normally see low 20 precents with the following, running...
Firefox running 4 tabs, Bitdefender Internet Security running, AIDA64 Extreme running.
I also have TranslucentTB and EVGA Precision running.
Services, are pretty much set at defaults.


I just booted into Win 11, so RAM usage is a bit low. But this is with all the things above... running.






I have page file min and max. set at 3072MB
I have EDGE completely removed.
And I have the MS Apps, massacred.

@Ghot Yeah I have 4 background apps running that alone eat up almost 2 gb but no cpu to speak of. I've disabled a few things, but not much. I've got plenty of ram so don't worry about them. As you said, from what others have posted it seems most people use from 4-5 gb with nothing open but a couple of browser tabs.
