Last week shortly after getting KB5089549 I launched Skyglass app and was almost immediately hit with "Smart App Control has blocked part of this app".
I have been in contact with Avirlabs and searched for solutions to fix this False Positive hit by Windows 11 Smart App. Also attempted to to troubleshoot with MS Help and so far nothing. MS was absolutely useless.
I can't say that the KB update was the main problem or not but it may have been the trigger. Removing does not solve the problem.
Further research shows only one possible solution which is rather drastic; Do a Win11 Reset saving Files and Apps. Sounds good but reading further many if not all apps may have to be reinstalled but data is preserved.
Apparently Smart App can only be reset or changed a with a New Win install.
MS calls Smart App a Security app but considering MS provides no anyway for user to intervene or manage it's detection of threats more of a threat then a help. Yes, they claim it's supposed to alert user and be able, in more recent versions of Win11 to turn Off & On. Turning Off after a hit does not restore proper operation of the Hit App.
I just can't fathom what MS was thinking enabling a App like this without user having some control over it's operation and forcing such a drastic fix to resolve!
Looking for any help in fixing this False Positive of Win11 Smart App without doing such a drastic Win11 reset.
I have used this app for years and never had any issues
Thanks for any insight and help!
