My M570 trackball finally died so I bought the ERGO M575S, which to my surprise and disappointment is not supported by Logitech. Now it requires Logi Options+, which as near as I can tell is a nightmare, at least I can't get it to work and there help isn't.
My old TB was programed to insert characters using the Forward and Back buttons depending on what application I was running. Their new software has something called SMART ACTIONS and Triggers which might be smart if they had any kind of instruction. I set it up for Global (no app) forward Ctrl+Z and back H, then set it up for a cad program called Sketchup, F \, and B ] and it worked pretty good. Then added another cad app called DesignCad, F Esc and B Enter. After setting up DC while in DC pressing thee forward button produced: H \ and back gave me Ctrl+z ] Enter.
All three were set up the same way.
Does anyone have any experience with Options+?
