Putting gmail shortcut on desktop

I've Googled and read at least 20 pages of the same instructions. The only problem is where it says to go to the 3 browser dots, click on More Tools and then on Create Shortcut, I do not have Create Shortcut. Can anyone help?

On Windows 11, open up the Gmail tab, then go to the 3 dots Chrome control/Cast, save, and share/save/create shortcut. From the shortcut one can also pin it to the taskbar.

It's pretty simple.
On any browser there is an icon to the left of the web address in the address bar.
Chrome has the icon in the image below. Firefox shows a padlock.

  • Make your browser smaller than your desktop.
  • Left Click and hold the icon.
  • Drag the icon to your desktop.

  • You can rename the shortcut if you like by Right Click > Rename
  • You can change the icon by Right Click > Properties > Change Icon

Or you can do it the old fashioned way if the drag and drop doesn't work out for you.. In your browser highlight the URL to your gmail account, right click and select copy. Go to desktop, right click in empty space, select new>shortcut. Right click in the box marked "location of the item" select Paste (this puts the URL in the box), click next, name the shortcut, Ok
