Puzzled about hibernate and awakening from Sleep mode and absent sign-in requirement

EDIT: I added mention of hibernate in the title. When I hibernate the laptop and I start it, it does not show the sign-in screen in order to ask for my password before it enters Windows. Based on this finding maybe the problem is more general on my laptop.

I notice that the sign in requirement after waking from sleep is not the same as I remember it on Windows 10. My power settings are to put the laptop to sleep after three hours. With Windows 10 when the laptop was woken from sleep I had to sign-in using my password, PIN or fingerprint. With Windows 11 the laptop doesn't appear to go to sleep. As soon as I touch any key on the keyboard I find myself in Windows. I saw the tutorial here but unfortunately it didn't enlighten me. I attach a screenshot of my Sign-in options. Please note the greyed out Additional settings option.

What I would like to do is to require me to enter either my password, a PIN or use my fingerprint when the laptop wakes up from sleep.

The setting is greyed out because you have the toggle "on" for only allow windows hello sign in.

If its not sleeping, check your power options in settings>system>power

I turned off the "only allow Windows Hello sign-in...", but it remained greyed out even after a restart.

My power settings are the same as before, that is the monitor is to turn off after 10 minutes and the device should go to sleep after three hours.

Have a look in Control Panel > Power Options

Mine are different. For example, I don't see anything about Hibernate.

That's strange, I would check another power plan or create one and edit the settings. Do you have any utility programs that affect power options? I have Norton Utilities which has power plans. NVidia GeForce Experience or Control panel are worth looking at if you have them

I'll try using another power plan. As far as I know I don't have any program that might affect the power options.

EDIT: Using another power plan didn't solve it.
I also made an in-place Windows re-installation. Again, it didn't solve it, but it did fix a problem with Windows Updates - advanced options that I couldn't access directly.

Unless a solution is found, I'll have to re-install Windows from scratch and also install all other programs. Not a task that I look forward to.

Your power plan advanced settings looks like mine with Hibernate option removed (powercfg -h off command in CMD admin).
It looks to me that you'll need to turn off Fingerprint recognition, or its set up, to get the PIN option that's greyed out. Haven't seen the fingerprint settings as never owned a computer that had that option.
