Quick Access 'Documents' folder question

Is the Quick Access Documents folder supposed to be a shortcut to my user documents folder?

When I click on the quick access folder for every other folder (Desktop, Music, Downloads, Pictures, etc) they open to the shortcut files/folders in them. But the Documents folder doesn't. When I open it, it's blank. I have to go around directly to my user documents folder.

I've tried resetting the location for the quick access Documents folder but it seems to want to move the user documents files/folders, not create a shortcut to them. I want to create a shortcut, like the other quick access folders have.

Thanks. I've turned off OneDrive and unlinked my account to it.

When choosing the Restore Default location option, it's asking me to move the User Documents folder. However, I don't want to move this folder to another location, I just want a shortcut to it. I want to retain my User Documents folder in the left navigation pane, as well as have a shortcut to it in the Quick Access Documents. Just like I have with my Music folder, Video folder, Downloads folder, etc. (for some reason my Pictures folder isn't cross-linked, as my picture files are only in the Quick Access Pictures folder).

Is my only solution then to make a copy of my Users Documents folder (from the left navigation pane) to the Quick Access Documents folder?

Ok, I don't know exactly what I did, but I seemed to have resolved it.

I just opened up OneDrive and turned on syncing and let it sync my files. I let it rip and do its thing. Then I happened to check my Quick Access 'Documents' folder and, instead of being empty, all my documents and folders were there. (not sure how or why). Now when I go to my Users folder under 'Documents' they are the same documents files and folders as in the Quick Access Documents folder, and acts as the short cut. I don't have to move or pin anything.

Exactly how I wanted it, and just like how my pictures, videos, etc were.

So then afterwards I went back into OneDrive and stopped syncing.

Now I dare not fiddle with it. :-)
