Solved Random autoclicking when opening file explorer

since yesterday ive been having some weird autoclicking/multiclicking when file explorer is running. when i close it it continues and i can only stop it with a full shutdown. it happens a lot and i dont know if its a virus or bug.

Hey anon!
Could we have a bit more info on your PC or notebook please.

It sounds like a HDD is maybe telling you it's out time IF you have a HDD in your PC or notebook.

Could also be a power supply issue if it's a desktop PC as notebooks have their power supplies externally
and you could easily hear it clicking.

As far as a virus goes well, I haven't encountered one that would do this as they tend to be silent
about their bad activities.

If you have anti-virus software protecting your PC or notebook then, run a scan.
I would recommend you also do an online scan just as a backup.

i can tell its a desktop pc and i have done multiple antivirus scans and nothing has came out. if you want i can put a picture of all my specs here :)

Hey anon!

I don't read virus scans. There are people here who will gladly help in that department.

What I really want to know is , if the PC has a hard drive or if it is a SSD.
What make of PC and /or is this a home built PC.
In the My Computer link at the bottom of every posts there is a link in which you insert
your PC's specs. This is very helpful when trying to establish what could be going on with
your PC.

Please expand on your PC specs.

OK so lets get a few things out of the way first.
Is the router near the PC?
Is your mobile phone near the PC ?
Do you have any programs like FX Sound enhancer?

router is near with an ethernat cable the mobile is with me so yes and i dont use sound enhancers

OK. when did this all start ?
Have you made any changes to the settings at all?
Have you changed the power settings at all?
Check the fans. Might be dirt or dust or maybe one of them is out of alignment.

i think you maybe misunderstood the 'clicking' part
its like opening applications and that
its not doing clicks in the sense of clicking sounds
