Windows 11 Home Ver: 25H2 OS Build: 26200.6584 Win Experience Pack 1000.26100.234.0 (Installed 12/6/2025)
These random reboot (BSOD) incidents started about a month and half ago. They normally happen while I’m watching You Tube video’s or researching a topic of interest (web browsing), allthough the lastest occured while the computer was idle. I do not overclock or play games regularly. When I do play games, it is generally Starcraft or Warcraft single player mode but I haven’t been playing any computer games during the time this has been occurring.
About the same time the BSOD events started I was unable to install the monthly Windows Security Update. I followed all the normal procedures to correct that running DISM, SFC, restarting windows update service, downloading the update and installing locally, etc. with no joy. In checking for system updates I did find and install a Bios update for my Motherboard. None of these fixed the problem installing the Security Update and the random BSOD events continue. After the next month’s Security Update also failed to install I performed an in place reinstall of windows 11 which changed me from 24H2 to 25H2 OS Build 26200.6584. The current update that will not install is the November Security Update KB5068861 with error 0x80070302. Since performing the reinstall three BSOD events have occurred.
I have uninstalled Asus Amory Crate and performed a memory test using Memtestx86 which completed with no errors. I have run chkdsk using the “f” switch and the “spotfix” switch on the System Drive “C:”, both of these finished “suspiciously” fast in my experience (thou I have to say I’ve never run the command on an SSD drive before).
I’ve downloaded and installed Windbg but my knowledge leaves me short of understanding the results of analyzing the minidump files. Each minidump seems to be pointing too “different” problems. I Am hoping someone smarter than me can provide advice on how best to proceed.
