Nope. Realtek and Conexant are apples and oranges. No commonality what so ever.

I ask because if it’s a good mic, it probably has an equaliser in the software for it

I'm not an audiophile at all and just use onboard sound but have missed having the old Realtek Audio panel since it was removed several years ago. I was hoping your suggestion would be the solution, but it broke my Realtek sound. FXsound attached to my Intel Display audio (monitor speakers) even though I selected Realtek speakers when it installed. I can say it did improve those pingy monitor speakers a little but I never use those since I have powered speakers. Maybe I did something wrong. My Realtek completely disappeared as an option in settings. Even when I removed FXsound, my Realtek did not come back so I had to restore the system from a backup.
From all I read about FXSound, it seems to be highly recommended so I'm sure it's a good app for others. I wanted to mention this in case anyone else runs into the same problem.
