Remapping WIN key

I have tried Powertoys, Autohotkey,sharpkeys, and "advice" from many many windows forums as to how to disable or to remap the WIN key, who's placement just DRIVES ME MAD and NOTHING works, the only thing that ANY of them will ACTUALLY do is MIRROR the WIN key to another key and STILL the WIN key works as normal. FINALLY I just popped the key cap off of the key and am using it as such.

I am now on version 26H2 26.300.0457

Any solutions?? Thank you.

I'm confused as to why the position of the WIN key is a problem. Do you have an oddball keyboard key layout?

Aside from any software settings, you might just want to be aware that many keyboards, typically gaming keyboards, specifically have a setting to disable the Win key. Other keyboards that don't have a dedicated setting to disable the Win key may have software to let you disable individual keys or to remap them.

Yes, this is not as helpful as having a setting right in your OS or from a local app to accomplish this, but is an option.

As an example, the keyboard that I am working with right now has a dedicated switch to place the keyboard in "gaming mode" which disables the Win key.
