Removal Policy missing from a single USB port on motherboard

I have an issue exactly like this person here where one of their USB ports is not showing the Removal Policy option.
The USB port in question works fine otherwise, no weird disconnects or issues with speed.

It is the same regardless of what device is plugged in, USB Pen Drive, external HDD etc.

Does anyone else experience this with their PCs? If so, does unchecking the "Enable write caching on the device" ensure that I can safely unplug the external HDD without data loss?

Makes it safer, but does not ensure zero data loss...

The safest under the circumstances is power the computer off, then remove.

I see. I was just curious if disabling write cache is the same as "quick removal" being enabled because this one USB port for whatever reason behaves this way.

Was also curious to know if anyone else experiences a similar thing happening on any of their USB ports.

Well that bug hasn't happened to me, or at least I don't remember happening, so I cannot say why that happened, but you can still safely remove the drive. You can open File Explorer, right-click on the drive and select Eject. To permanently fix the error you must probably repair your system files. Search for cmd and Run as Administrator to open a Command Prompt as Administrator. Alternatively you can open a PowerShell as Administrator and execute cmd to switch to Command Prompt.

Now execute this code (wait for each command to complete before executing the next):

Code: 
Dism /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
sfc /scannow
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow

Then restart for the changes to take effect and check if your issue is fixed.

PS: If you have done any customizations to Windows appearance by modifying specific system files, these will be undone as sfc will replace the modified files. You have to do them again afterwards.

This is a clean vanilla install, with no errors from any Windows tools (SFC etc.)

There is no "Right click, Eject" for any external HDD using this specific USB port because removal policy is entirely unavailable.

I can't think of something else. If it is a clean installation without too many applications installed, I would just wipe it and reinstall again, just in case something went wrong. Otherwise it is probably a hardware failure (loose connection). To fix it you can try blowing hot air with an air gun on the port contacts to slightly soften the solder and then let it cool. This should make better contact. Be extra careful however not to melt any plastics or otherwise damage the motherboard. Do not set the temperature too high and do not heat for too long, 5 minutes maximum. Also move the gun in circles, do not let it heat the same point too long.

I have done that about 7 times over the last two months. This USB port has been this way since I built the PC 2 years ago.

Read my post again, I added more advice.

PS: If the motherboard is still in Warranty you may apply for a repair (aka issue a support ticket and fill an RMA form).
