Replace Publisher in 365 with a version from a reseller

I want to purchase Publisher 2021 from a reseller. Should I delete the version I currently have that is part of my 365 subscription before downloading the reseller product?

In any case Microsoft will remove Publisher from Microsoft 365 on October 1, 2026. AFAIK, you can't install Publisher 2021 on a computer with Microsoft 365 installed at the same time. If it was me and really needed Publisher I would do one of:
  • Uninstall Microsoft 365 and install Office 2021 Pro
  • Install Office 2021 Pro (or Publisher) and Office 365 on two separate computers.
  • Install Office 2021 Pro (or Publisher) in a Virtual Machine.

Ive got a stand alone Publisher 2021 LTSC installed with also Office 365 on the same computer.
However I had to Log Out of My Account and uninstall Office 365 first then install Publisher 2021 LTSC activate it with my serial number then re-install Office 365, both are working fine on the same computer.
Lets see what happens on the 1st of October
