Windows 11
Hi,
Running Windows 11 using it as an Ipecs pc. Application is UCS Client.
Having an issue with the application after a restart of the pc. If I do a hard shutdown and use to the power button to restart the pc it works fine. If I do a restart from the pc the application wont work. Is there anyway I can disable the restart from the pc or is there something I should be looking for in a group policy for this? Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

When your computer starts press DEL (or F11, F12) to open UEFI Firmware (aka BIOS) configuration. In the Boot section (or elsewhere) find the Fast Boot option and disable it. This keeps some data in RAM so the computer restarts faster but causes issues in some cases. When you cold boot (start from switched off) the computer loads all data again, so you don't have any issues. Disabling Fast Boot forces the computer to load all data every time it boots. Don't worry, the delay is negligible you won't even notice it.

PS: Also check the Power settings in Windows, I don't remember if there is a similar setting there you need to disable.
