Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) enables your Windows 11 device to run Android apps available from the Amazon Appstore.
You can restart the Windows Subsystem for Android to apply settings changes, or to fix most problems with WSA.

This tutorial will show you how to restart the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) for your account in Windows 11.

1 Open the Windows Subsystem for Android™️ Settings app from Start > All apps.
2 Click/tap on System on the left side of Windows Subsystem for Android™️ Settings. (see screenshot below)
3 Click/tap on the Turn off button to Turn off Windows Subsystem for Android™️.
4 Windows Subsystem for Android™️ will restart the next time you open an Android app.
5 You can now close Windows Subsystem for Android™️ Settings if you like.
1 Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc).
2 Click/tap on the Processes tab in Task Manager. (see screenshot below)
3 Select the Windows Subsystem for Android™️ process name.
4 Click/tap on End task on the command bar of Task Manager.
5 You can now close Task Manager if you like.
6 Windows Subsystem for Android™️ will restart the next time you open an Android app.
1 Open Settings (Win+I).
2 Click/tap on Apps on the left side, and click/tap on Apps & features or Installed apps on the right side. (see screenshot below)
3 Click/tap on the 3 dots button to the right of Windows Subsystem for Android™️, and click/tap on Advanced options. (see screenshot below)
4 Click/tap on Terminate. (see screenshot below)
5 You can now close Settings if you like.
6 Windows Subsystem for Android™️ will restart the next time you open an Android app.
