Router connection failed after updating windows 11

I had to switch to my Actionic FIOS router in a different room to get internet working.
I saw windows had a '4' minute update ready, so I said ok as the internet had stopped working.
Back in windows still had no internet, yet the Amazon Echo connected to that netgear router has working internet.
This is on my very capable laptop, not the older desktop.

I suppose I now have to reboot the router. totally unexplainable,

Just now switched back to that netgear router, no reboot of the router, and it is fine, so what gives?
Echo show never lost a connection, but windows 11 did. And all my smart bulbs kept working which are connected to the netgear router the whole time too. When I disconnected and reconnected to the netgear router the first time after failure, it connected but no internet site would load.

I also got a weird error on rboot of windows after the update, 2 command prompt windows partially opened and refused to close, windows gave an error message. I finally used tsk manager to kill them.

Now it's working it is going to be difficult to find the fault. I suggest you just move on. With respect.

Of course, unexplainable error. Wonder if now on every windows reboot will get those 2 command prompt errors.

I get three that open and close in quick succession. I'm pretty sure that these come from Acer. I can't see what they say except something about sc.exe.

Just rebooted windows, and no command prompts load and no errors. You know for months 2 command prompts loaded on every boot and then went away by themselves.
