Similar but different issues on a desktop (fixed) and laptop (need help). I can't remember if it was Windows 11 itself, or subsequent major update, but the Safely Remove Hardware notification stopped at some point. When you would select a device (especially a drive set with performance policy) to safely remove, the tray icon would "blink' indicating it was safe to remove. I preferred the old message to pop up that it was safe to remove. On the desktop I was able to find it as an option and set it was a priority notification. Safely remove hardware is NOT an option anywhere (Notifications, Personalization, etc.) on the laptop. Is there a registry entry or something that will enable it as an notification option? Thanks.
