Samsung One UI 8.5 Official Rollout Starts May 6, 2026

Samsung is expanding the One UI 8.5 rollout to more devices, bringing the latest Galaxy AI features across the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem. The update focuses on enhancing communication and creative experiences on Galaxy mobile phones and tablets, including the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Tab S11 series and Galaxy Tab S10 series.

One UI 8.5 will begin rolling out in Korea starting May 6 with additional regions to follow.

Much better...and thank goodness for the excellent Search button in Settings to find all the customizations.

That is so last decade or more!

This is not a personal issue to me though as I can only hear on one side being totally deaf on the left. I am physically incapable of hearing in stereo. bThod is dur to a (now nuked) btain tumour destroying my hearing nerves on left side.

So, I can only hear in mono and sometimes listening to audio (on devices with stereo) I seemed to get perodic audio dropout.

What was happening was I was only listening to the right hand channel. The classic sound is when you hear a car driving left to right or vice versa.

I found a setting that plays audio in mono (mainly designed so two people can listen with one set of earphones).

After I made that setting, no more dropout. I cannot get the effect of a car moving though.

I guess it may depend on the model of your phone, but, you may have to go back into Apps and remove bloatware all over again, after the update!

Plan on a ton of bloatwear if that AppCloud is on your phone! Disable as soon as possible and check it remains disabled after updates.

I disabled/uninstalled 19 apps/services, App Hub being the worst, and one other one, I forget the name of it...

To be safe Google how to find and disable Appcloud for your phone and carrier. The bad thing about 8.5 is it throws that spamware app on everyone's phone and it's hidden and can only be disabled not removed.

That's thorough there, I just went through all the apps and deleted the garbage ones that Appcloud snuck in on my phone. I learned the hard way about Appcloud since that junk wasn't on my old S22 phone.

I think I have less sh*t on my Desktop PC!!!

Just checked and don't see that listed anywhere on my phone so I think I'm clear of it. Just Googled it and it appears to be another app that installs bloat if you don't disable it though.
