You had me worried, so I checked my A34 (UI7) and I have the slider set to off. One of the many (useless) settings that I never knew existed.Hi folks.
This latest update (UI 7) is about to make me get rid of a Samsung phone -- somehow now the automatic record phone conversation is automatically ON which is really annoying -- if you wanted to record a conversation then you could enable it once you started the call.
The instructions are out of date too -- Google says go to settings -- and in the record option slide the button to OFF. - BUT in the latest UI 7 there is NO slider button to set this OFF.
Please SAMSUNG FIX THIS !!! it's mega annoying and I'm sure in spite of the great hardware and quality of the phones this is the most annoying feature I think I've ever seen on these devices. I don't know who decided that recording phone conversations should not be "disable-able" -- not withstanding the fact that in some jurisdictions it's actually against the law -- not here though !!
Is there anything - or some hidden setting where this feature can be disabled. Most people (friends, colleagues, family etc) I know don't want calls recorded.
In the S series phones effected seem to be from S21 onwards !!
Cheers
jimbo
