Schneegans Autounatend.xml basic advice

Hi there,

I have 40 new Dell 3070 mini PCs that came with a Windows 11pro licence and I would like to set them up as quickly as possible.

I stumbled upon Schneegans Autoattend.xml which looks great however I only see it works for Win11?

If I create a W11 iso using the Windows Media Creation Tool I am unable to explicitly choose W11Pro - all I get is the multi edition disk image and this doesn’t seem to work with Schneegans !?

Am I being totally stupid here or is there another way to get the W11 Pro ISO?

Am I missing something here? I would recommend using a generic product key generated by the website for the Windows version you are trying to install and then register Windows with your retail PID after setup. The multi-edition US version of Windows 11 x64 iso should have 11 versions:

| 4 | x64 | Windows 11 Education
| 5 | x64 | Windows 11 Education N

| 9 | x64 | Windows 11 Pro Education N
| 10 | x64 | Windows 11 Pro for Workstations
| 11 | x64 | Windows 11 Pro N for Workstations

No, it works for both Win 10 and Win 11. Note that there are many places where it may reference Windows 10, but all hold equally true to Win 11 as well.

One more thing, you don't need unattended installation to do this. You can allow Windows Setup to ask which edition to install by creating a small 2 line text file. It just so happens that I posted about doing this earlier today. Post can be found here (Post #11 of the thread):
