Screen blanks again when coming out of screen save

Lately, every time I move the mouse or tap a key on the keyboard to bring my PC out of screen save, the screen appears, and then after a small amount of time (I estimate 1/3 or 1/2 a second), the screen goes blank again for two or three seconds before finally coming out of screen save. This problem has only appeared in the past few weeks - prior to that, when the PC came out of screen save the screen stayed on. I have a dual monitor system, both being driven off the same nVidia Quadro P1000 card, and the same happens on both monitors. Any thoughts on a possible reason or a possible fix?

Updating GPU Drivers?
Rolling back the most recent Windows update?
