I rolled back the NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 driver and nothing happened. I had also noticed that the monitors were displayed under Sound, video and game controllers, so I also rolled back the NVIDIA High Definition Audio driver and restarted my computer. Nothing happened and after about an hour my second monitor turned on.

Windows Build/Version

Had you performed manual power offs related to the display or hangs / freezes or were these spontaneous?

1) Run Tuneup plus > post a share link

2) The BIOS Version/Date AMI F.48, 27/07/2022

Upgrade the BIOS: F.48 > F.51

3) Upgrade these HP software

a) HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows: 1.4.0.0 > 2.6.3.0

b) HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI: 7.6.0.0 > 10.7.0.0

4) Check to see if the newest HP support assistant functions and finds any updates:

5) Run the HP UEFI hardware diagnostics overnight while sleeping:

Power on and repetitively click F2 or F10 > system > extensive > the next day > take pictures > post images or share links displaying the tests performed with results

Hi again,

Unfortunately you have not yet heard the last from me.

Nothing happens when I click on https://www.tenforums.com/attachmen...-files-use-bsod-debugging-tuneup_plus_log.zip

Do I click on?

And then?

@Dayna

1. Do Option #2, step #3 and onward, here...
2. This will block MS from including drivers in Windows Updates.
3. They'll still be listed in the Optional Updates, if you ever need them.

Then, I wrote a little guide for using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), to properly update or go back to an older driver.

DDU Instructions - Nvidia
1. Get this program, here: Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) | Wagnardsoft ...get the latest version, and save it to your desktop.
2. Get the Nvidia WHQL vid card driver here... Nvidia drivers - Guru3D ...save this to your desktop.
Unhook the internet completely.
3. Reboot into Safe Mode and run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) choose the "Highly Recommend Option", and just do what it tells you.
4. After it's done, reboot to normal mode, then just double click the Nvidia driver to install.
[See pics below]. If it want's to reboot, let it.
Rehook the internet.

NjaiKLm.png

NOTE: The manual driver search at Nvidia, seems to no longer be working. Which is why I use Guru3D, now.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I don't know if this will solve your issue, but everyone should know about the Tutorial above, and the DDU instructions. It'll also let you download and install "any" driver version you want.

Sometimes the drivers that MS occasionally includes with Windows Updates...
can conflict with drivers that are already installed. Which is what the tutorial at the top is for.

DDU, on the other hand, will remove all the leftovers from MS or Nvidia drivers, so when you install an Nvidia driver, it has a clean slate to work with.

The monitor is working. I’d leave it alone?

Also, Dayna downloaded and installed the Nvidia driver herself.
There is every chance Microsoft (Windows Update) would supply a different version or manipulated driver for Dayna’s PC, if at all.

just my 2 cents

Hi folks
Seems the more problems people report with Nvidia - the higher the stock goes.

It's paid already for my Xmas trip to Spain, Xmas prezzies for those who are on my "decent list" and allowed me to buy some more nice new hardware, plus leaving a sizeable chunk in the bank (away from any grasping govt wanting a tax take when I take the risk and all they get are working people's money and risks.) !!!! - UK people -- your Govt isn;t the only one with "Money Grabbing fingers !!!" although problems there look much harder to solve than in most O.E.C.D economies.

@TraderGary

Nvidia -- I'm out of it now -- I do usually short term stuff and retail Day Trading but some I hold longer and this was one- but a rise just shy of 200% YTD isn't too bad a deal. Flogged at 135 USD.
