Serif Release Affinity V2


Serif has this week released the Affinity Suite 2.0 which is a major update to the original suite of Three related Graphics applications, that are available as a suite or as individual applications.

As normal with Serif they start with a healthy 40% discount (Black Friday came early) There is also now an option to purchase the complete suite against a single licence, the licences are perpetual which a lot of users prefer to the Subscription model used more and more, by Adobe and others

I'm using both Adobe Illustrator and Affinity Designer 2 in tandem without any issues.
Illustrator has a maximum artboard restricted size of 227 inches by 227 inches, and I do plenty of large format designs that go way beyond this.
I create in illustrator at a scaled down size, bring it into Affinity and scale it up to the correct size, and save it in whichever format I like.
Size restrictions bypassed....

Slight learning curve once again but, I find myself getting used to the new App rather than using the individual Affinity Suites.

@Josey Wales As Edwin said Affinity 3 is absolutely free with one additional caveat not mentioned and that is if you want to use any of the AI tools in Affinity (Such as background removal) then you will have to pay to use the AI features.

When I went to download the latest Affinity 3 I had to pick the "Enterprise (Intel/AMD) if I wanted the Non store version (.EXE) and the "Windows (Intel/AMD) choice downloads the Microsoft Store version (.msix).
