I have web page links which should open in chrome. I take a website opened in chrome drag it to the desktop as a link but it has a firefox icon on it and opens in firefox. the web page is a .php and I can not link these .php links to chrome.

If I go to Apps >Default apps and select chrome, I get .htm and .html extension types but there is no .php extension type.

I can not go to file extensions and link to chrome as I have explorer files linked to a desktop app notepad++

I can not un install firefox as it does not appear in Apps > Installed apps. I cant even get rid of it.

Update: I had no choice but to hack firefox out of my computer by going to c:\program files. I then had to drag the desktop icon to the recycle bin.

I know open a webpage in chrome. I drag it to my desktop but it is a blank icon (unknown link). When I click on it it will not open saying Application not found it is a .php webpage. Can anyone sort this mes out please?

A .php file is a Server-side file containing source code, which needs a PHP installation if you want to do anything other than read/write to the file, which should be possible with most plain text editor apps.

AFAIK the easiest way to load the file for compilation/use on a desktop installation may be to install a Local Server application (e.g. XAMPP) together with PHP but you can also find more info on direct Windows installation/use of PHP here: Manual installation of pre-built binaries
