I never purchased a used computer before, much less new old stock, but I finally did just that today.

I have a 2023 model Lenovo ThinkBook model. It is my favorite laptop of all time (and I have owned a least 50 laptops). All the new ThinkBooks have had drastic cost cutting measures put in place. For example, there is no longer a single model with anything over 1920 x 1200 resolution on the screens. SSD sizes have also shrunk. Even with the cost cutting, prices have still gone way up. I came across a listing on Amazon by pure accident where my exact same model laptop is being sold, new, unused, only 1 available. So, I snapped it up.

Is anyone else investing in older hardware with all the madness going on right now? Just curious :-)

Many times. But I have a handful of laptops (ddr4) and a desktop (ddr4) and a nuc (ddr5) that are loaded with ssd and 32gb of ram if anyone is interested. All run just fine.
