Is there a area I can see my computers activity such as why is it shutting down at night when i leave it on like a activity report or report card?

Are they shutting down or just sleeping? Sometimes you can't tell the difference. If you tap a key then a sleeping computer should wake up. However, I have one computer that I can shut down and restart by tapping the space bar.

As stated. fist look to your Power Settings.
go to Search and type Power Options, select that in the Search results
Review your power plan by clicking Change Plan Settings. You can change your sleep settings here.

You may also an app that has changed your settings and is shutting down the computer.
Go to Search and type Task Scheduler, clicking that in the search results.

Look to your power options first.

You can always use the Event Viewer app to review all the events of the previous night. Under Windows Logs, review the Application and System events. Of course, this won't always capture hardware problems like overheating.
