I do have to say some Bose products are overpriced. That said I do love their headphone and have owned several pairs of the Quiet Comfort phones, with my current being the Bose HD 700 phones. Great sounding headphones with excellent features, including built in mic for phone use.

The one issue I have with Bose products is they supporting apps. While Bose makes some nice products, their software is buggy as Suger Honey Iced Tea - Bose SoundTouch app doesn't work per instructions. Bose Music app so-so for my HD 700 phones.

For that price i'd then go with Seinheiser

Well, I guess that's a matter of perspective as the Bose NC 700 phones are far cheaper than my Sennheiser HD 700 phones which cost me $800 dollars (after a price drop of $200 dollars) ;-)

Had QuietComfort32 maybe years ago for $300. or more they weren't bad sounding at all, good for late night if do not want to disturb anyone.
Earpads did not last long started to fall apart had to get new ones from Bose (imagine cost) SennHeiser HD 600 around same price and more of a audiophile headphone compared to.

Yeah, I hated the mids on those. Sounded too tiny for me. Also didn't like the sound stage - If you weren't sitting perfectly middle they sounded a little thin.

Well, I guess that's a matter of perspective as the0 Bose NC 70 phones are far cheaper than my Sennheiser HD 700 phones which cost me $800 dollars (after a price drop of $200 dollars) ;-)

Putzin around with the BC5's..., they still sound like :poop:!
They sound okay at low volume but, you can't crank em!!! :nope:

Looking at that build, I don't think they are meant for cranking up. Although modern speakers sound big for their size.

Yeah, but that's not the point! The point is thinking things are expensive per the conversation between me and jds63 ;-)

Really , always here this about Bose "No highs, no lows, must be Bose".
I thought that they had a tendency to lack mids, IRL. The lows, seem to be no problem, from what I know so far.

Really? That they don't sound good? I've gotten words of someone who thinks Logitechs suck, but I have very-good-sounding Logitechs, OTOH!

For my daily-driver:

Technics SA-EX140 receiver and Polk VT60 speakers.
