Checked viewer,it doesn't say anything related to the time I shut down other than it says shutdown failed far as I remember,not sure what the pic of the taskbar will show,there's nothing on there.
I have tried a few ideas and found it's not just steami booted up and let uplay update while using Chrome left it running just with that up,no steam,and shut it down then the PC,same problem,so it seems that anything i run it doesn't shut it down properly.
So I tried another and just used Chrome when I shutdown then,it worked fine! So I have no idea why it's playing up.

That Reddit post isn’t the only instance of this issue (Shutdown message) that is out there.
In that Reddit post, entries are still coming in from as early as two days ago.

closing 1 app and shutting down (Microsoft\Windows\DeviceDirectoryClient\RegisterUserDevice\)

I think it’s caused by a Windows Update at some point and hasn’t yet been corrected.
Today there should be updates available for Windows. See what happenes.

Well if it was caused by a cumulative update (Last one was March 11 and there are new updates today) then it could of layed dormant. But it could easily have been an update to an app or sioftware. As nobody in that thread has listed their running devices, it’s impossible to see a specific factor that may be causing this for you and others.

@antspants i thought you might find this interesting, out of curiosity i looked up the reddit post you mentioned,a poster there mentioned a possibility fix,which was when shutting the system down to press and hold the power button till it shuts off,on the next shutdown the error had stopped!
So I tried it yesterday on shutdown tonight I was convinced it would not work,but to my surprise it has! Dunno why but the problem seems to be solved! Weird but it works! The odd joys of windows.

holding the power button causes the BIOS to power off the system so windows doesn't get a chance to properly(in its mind) shut things down.

Reading the link to Reddit, would explain to you that it is not something to do every shutdown. Just once to repair the Shut Down function.

Yes. Windows has been refined over the years to preserve an orphan and pass existence and information so it survives over a restart. Many apps/tasks use that and of course it can't distinguish between a useful or non-useful task. A hard power off prevents it from saving it. We may well see this understanding useful/viable in a number of bothersome startup situations(though few shutdowns).
