Solved Simpler Speaker Switching

For background music and information I use a pair of the inexpensive Amazon speakers driven from the headphone output from my NUC. Frequently I want to switch to wireless Bluetooth sound from my "real" Sony headphones to get better reproduction and detail.
I'd like to switch quickly by clicking a button or icon, but I admit that I'm not comfortable with changing sound sources. It seems I have to unplug the desktop speakers and then have difficulty getting Bluetooth going to the headphones.
Can this switch be made more easily, or do I have to go through unplugging direct sound and firing up Bluetooth?

My Bluetooth headphones connect and disconnect automatically! 🤷‍♂️ Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

So no OFF switch on the speakers? Is there no off switch on the speaker? I turn my speakers off and the headphones kick in. But my system is different in the sense that I have wired headphones and bluetooth speakers.

If there is no Off switch to try on the back of the speaker, maybe try an extension cable accessible from the desk.
But I can’t say that unplugging the wired speakers will activate the bluetooth

If the Bluetooth device won't connect and disconnect automatically, you may have to use the Sound Applet or the Volume Mixer...

Another alternative would be to go into Control Panel, switch view to all items or small icons, right clicking on Sound and select Create shortcut which will land on your desktop.
But again, I don't have Bluetooth headphones so I don't know if they will show in the Sound Settings as an option:

You can create a shortcut on your desktop for quick access to your Bluetooth Devices but I am not sure how that will help you.

Click this to copy to your clipboard:

%windir%\explorer.exe ms-settings:bluetooth

Right click on your desktop, select New>Shortcut.
Paste %windir%\explorer.exe ms-settings:bluetooth in to Type the location of the item: and click Next.
Name the Shortcut.
