Slow downloading of Windows 10 or Windows 11 isos from MS

Windows 11 Pro + Win11 Canary VM.
Is anybody having problems with download speeds of MS isos (W10 or W11).

I am only getting around 300 kB/s whereas I normally get up to around 40 MB/s.

I have tried on three different devices and my mobile phone - all the same.

I am guessing it is a server issue in UK

Working OK here.

Any weather issues / other infrastructure issues / strikes by maintenance staff etc etc.
If you have a 5G mobile phone connection -- that should be fairly robust.

Do others in your area with different ISP's have the same problem -- or is there too much downloading / streaming of content in your area -- with optical fibre it shouldn't matter but a lot of the UK still relies on old fashioned copper wire for at least some traffic between house and the ISP backbone infrastructure. This can easily run out of capacity when a load of simultaneous users are streaming / downloading high quality video content. (Maybe also you have a load of "TPB" users in your area !!!!).

I have 900 mb/s full fibre and 5G mobile. Both are working fine. I have tried on several devices - it only the MS servers. I assume it is a local server.

I do not know any way to connect to a non uk server.

I might try via a vpn actually.

Connected to a US server via Nordvpn and downloading much faster - not mega speed but already over 20% of way through. It would have taken over 9 hrs at speeds I was getting in UK.

I can only assume it is a local uk server issue.

Well I'm in the UK too and have gigabit Ethernet with BT. Just downloaded the 24H2 ISO - 5.5 GB file and it took about 70 seconds ......

I think it's just server load at Microsoft, or their international subsidiaries.
Even in Pennsylvania, sometimes I'll get great speeds, sometimes a snail could beat the download.

I had a snail run up my pants leg once, as much as it was kind of titillating, I couldn’t work out how it was moving 3 inches a second. All up it took 1.3 seconds.

It was however a choice of usernames, snailpants or antspants. It’s a party in there.
