I have been dealing with this for over 3 weeks. I'm not stupid but they did an upgrade that deleted my wifi adapters all together. I now have Wifi IPv6. There is no Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller, and there is no Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter. Not even in viewing hidden devices. I'll attach my device manager. I went to Microsoft and Samsung. Both were useless because I am in Mexico. I'm trying to finish my house here that I bought when my father passed. But my stepmother embezzled my Trust, I've been taken by every contractor. I've been burglarized. I had surgery, and they forged my signature. AMX will do nothing. My point is. I'm in big trouble. I must get some money in before I end up on the streets. I have 6 animals, heart disease, and an ex-abusive boyfriend dying of cancer upstairs. I can't get Location off the grey. I am not a student, nor is my computer a company computer. I tried using the command prompt to load GPEDIT with no success... I tried downloading an .iso and doing a recovery without losing my files. It gave me an error that it was the wrong version. I have tried using my cell phone as a hotspot to get wifi on my laptop. I have Telnor fiber with a Zydel modem/router, it's a PMG567-T20B2. Then, because my house is made of block, I have a Linksys Mesh WHW03. I have a Lorez NVR 4844 8-camera system, and out of 8 cameras, only 4 are online. I thought I set everything up correctly, but then when Windows did the upgrade, EVERYTHING was lost. I'm terrified here at night and don't sleep.

Just earlier, I found a Samsung upgrade that I loaded, and the only thing that it did was now I can't even use my Windows Phone link. I tried that and got that you are trying to connect your phone from outside of China, and we don't allow roaming.

Things keep getting worse. Please, can someone help me? I can't get anything done at all. I have a DDNS on my cameras, but they need their IP address range. The reason my cameras are not working is that they are offline, and I spent over two weeks working on that. Just resetting my Linksys Velop and hooking up nodes, in Bridge mode, can take three days, 8 hours a day, to get them to connect!

This is literally killing me and my animals. Please anyone that can help?

Thanks, Spunk. However, I'm sorry, but I have my DNS settings set up. They are set up in my modem and my router. It is because of what I said, the location issue. Since my wifi adapter was not even showing up or giving me a choice to click on it, that was impossible. I was able to get it fixed yesterday, and so just now I did as you said, added the DNS to the Wifi adapter TCP/IPv6. I can't get vs 4 back. I use 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. Since I was able to get the device loaded IPv6, I added what you said. I still feel like I need to get location options back because without it, the computer wants to connect to Ethernet, etc I am still unable to separate the NVR camera IP address. I do have a DDNS and got 4 out of 8 online. I still have been unable to find a network on some of them. All cameras online, and due to the location settings being greyed out, I have determined that this is the biggest problem, having my systems log onto Wi-Fi. I also have no LAN setting in my CMD, everything shows as disabled. BTW, I see the like button. But how do I rate as helpful?

Thank you for responding. More help is still needed, though! I should have mentioned that I was a bit hesitant to add DNS everywhere because they are set up in my modem and router. At one point, I overdid it, and I had things in both, and that was a huge nightmare that I finally just reset everything. My goal is to get it all correct and then back it up like I should have done in the beginning when all my adapters showed in ipconfig. How do normal people who know nothing about computers deal with this stuff? I consider myself to be pretty intelligent, but this has been the worst. Albeit, Networking has never been my strongest suit. I just usually can research and get there.

Most people use IPv4 & not IPv6.

Your ISP or your Router are usually your DNS Server and it should be setup up to Obtain an IP Address and Obtain a DNS Server address Automatically.
Under IPv4
If having issues connecting changing the DNS server usually helps
IPV6 is available, but most ISP's are not using this yet.
As for your cameras, you should contact their support or post in their community forum.
I believe the cameras will have static IP address's for each. (?) But your manual or manufacturer would be able to assist you with that further.

Well the bad news is things are a lot worse.

First, my power supply broke for my Samsung and so rather than waiting for a new one I bought an HP OmniBook X. The seller listed it as open box mint condition. When it arrived the USB ports didn't work, it won't stay connected to the internet, nothing would work. I finally talked to Amazon about it which was useless and then I talked to HP.

HP informed me that the original owner had changed the operating system to Windows 11 Pro, voiding out all warranty. They suggested I return it to Amazon. Amazon refused the return because they said that the warranty was up. I argued implied warranty and that the seller lied about the condition of the computer. And they still denied it so now I'm stuck with a $900 laptop that I can't get to work.

My Samsung, I took the hard drive out of it and put it in an enclosure and connected it and accidentally partitioned the boot drive and I can't figure out how to get it back together so that I can use my Samsung because this computer's a nightmare. I can't get anything done.

In the meantime I had identity theft. My phone was lost while I was in the hospital. All my credit card companies closed my accounts and took my credit score from $820 to $677. My bank won't give me access to any of my funds. I have to open a new bank account which is a problem because somebody did a transaction on one of my accounts that I didn't do and Schwab bank credited it temporarily. But my experience with them because in the past they pretty much stole $5,000 from me I knew the writing was on the wall so I moved all of my funds to a new bank. And then sure enough they took the amount they had temporarily given me back, showing a negative in my account after one of their people told me that they wouldn't do that and they turned me over to what's called Chex Systems.

This is a company that most banks check with before they open an account for people and so since I'm in Mexico they wouldn't allow me to log on to their portal. They wouldn't allow me to dispute anything. I did an affidavit of identity theft. I did a police report. I did everything I was supposed to do but I had to pay $31 to send them a dispute via registered mail which was tough with no money.

The only thing I have is a Discover card which you can hardly use anywhere at all here and you can't take money out of an ATM without paying a fee and everything's a nightmare. I cannot stay connected to the internet on my HP at all. I don't know what to do. It's hindering me from getting a new account open because I can't send in letters and fix things I need to fix. I'm about ready to lose my mind. We're about ready to starve to death.

It's killed my husband because I couldn't get my credit fixed. I didn't have money to get him to the hospital and he had cancer. A person that he met while we briefly broke up is a drug addict basically and a drunk and she put herself down as his emergency contact. Stole all of his money, took him home with her, didn't provide the 24/7 support she said she was going to. Fed him alcohol which made it so the steroid that helped him — the cancer had moved to his brain — wasn't working at all. When I didn't hear from him I went to his house. By the time I got there he was completely incoherent, unable to function and it took me two days to get an ambulance to take him to the United States. He's on life support. He doesn't really have anything going on inside his brain. They won't let me talk to them. They say she's his emergency contact. Anyways that's another story and one I can't even bear to talk about because it's breaking my heart and I'm completely alone.

I have to worry about getting myself back in order and that means getting an internet connection. I don't know what I should choose for my IP start address night you know when I go into let me see.
