1) Please read this link on Windows Driver Verifier (WDV):

Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10


2) Create a new restore point





3) Learn the methods to recover from BSOD caused by WDV by booting into safe mode and running one or more of these commands:

verifier /reset

verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail

You say you've not stress tested the build so that says you went into using this machine just assuming that all was well.

.I'm as far from a hardware expert as one can get but I do know that any new build should be stress tested.. The real system builders here please correct me if my thinking is skewed because I usually fly by the seat of my pants when it comes to hardware. If you disagree or have better suggestions for the tools to use, please step in and correct me but I'd use Asus own tools first for this purpose.

I'd turn off all overclocking and stress test the hardware using Asus RealBench. Monitor your temps and voltages using HWMonitor.

I test the GPU specifically using Furmark Rogue Edition.

I'd run memtest to check the ram. Nothing is better than memtest. Run at least 4 passes.

I'd test the drives using Crystal Disk Mark or the drive's manufacturer testing tool.

I'm back from holiday traveling, ran WDV but got no blue screen after ~35 hours of running it, and I turned it off since it was nearing the recommended time and I wasn't going to be around to stop it when it actually hit it. I don't seem to be experiencing any more issues, I had installed new fans and tested with the games that were crashing it before and it seems to be good.

I do probably need to do a bit more stress testing, but this is the first high end system I have owned, and I was able to run what I felt were high end enough games to stress test the computer, it just so happened that poorly optimized games caused some issues. It would be one thing if there were obvious glaring issues, crashes all the time and things breaking, but temps and voltage seem good from HWinfo, no spikes or anything, and I feel it is good enough.

I apologize for taking so long to update, but in case anyone has issues similar to mine, more cooling, better fan curves, and especially the rest of the advice in this thread may help you.

WDV has more than 20 customized tests.

If the drivers are tested with only 3 of the tests then you may be able to conclude that there were no misbehaving drivers for the 3 customized tests.

The drivers were not tested with the other customized tests.

If the computer does not have unexpected shutdowns and restarts then that will complete the troubleshooting.
