What happened to the desktop folder? Some of my icons are saved in the OneDrive Desktop folder. Others are just there. I don't want OneDrive uploading random things to itself. I just installed windows 11 a few days ago.

Another strange thing is shorty after installing win11 some icons showed up from out of nowhere, the win10 update assistant, Factorio, and the two of the blacked out ones. The update assistant one is really interesting cause the path points to a place that does not exist on this hard drive. It does on my other drive before I installed win11. Did these icons come from OneDrive?

And when the folders are all sorted out you can rid yourself of it - this does not stop you going to OneDrive in your browser to post files for exchange, it just affects the app on your computer.

Welcome to ElevenForum.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page [within the Tutorials dropdown list].
- At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
- I download a new copy each month.
- By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
- Tutorials are also listed at Tutorials - there's a shortcut to that at the top of every page.

You can search ElevenForum using the search box in the top-right corner of all ElevenForum webpages or using Advanced Search - ElevenForum
- You can also search ElevenForum threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:elevenforum.com after your search term. For example,

Thanks I'll take a look at that too, was about to a similar thing with remapping the folders myself. Been a pretty seamless transition so far, least no more BSOD yet... Was getting tired of loading memdumps and going trough to see what derped, so loaded 11 on a newish HDD.
