Some Taskbar Icons Display Blank

Some icons I've pinned to the taskbar now display blank e.g. Store and Mail - see below where the blank space is the working blank Store link. Also, the link does not unpin when commanded. Is there a fix for this?

If I remember correctly this was also an issue with Win 10. One answer was to save the theme you have now and change theme to another one. Wait for it to load then change back to the original theme.

This is driving me crazy. Doesn't matter what theme I use, every time I turn on this computer, there's something different (i.e. "wrong") with my task bar. Today it's like this. Yesterday, a handful of icons were about four pixels, just centered on the space where it should go. Today, my softphone app is blank, so when people call I hear it ring, but have to hover over the icons to make sure I got the right app before I can answer it, and the preview takes a few seconds to load too, so I keep missing calls.

I had this issue in Windows 10. I made a new user profile and it fixed it. Try making another user and test with it to see if the problem also exists in another user account. You might also try to rebuild your icon cache.Rebuild Icon Cache in Windows 10
