Sometimes I truly have to BASH/MASH/SMASH the update button to check for updates but most of the time it simply does not work, only after BASHING the left mouse button, and no, there is nothing wrong with my PC mouse!

How is the mouse connected, USB or USB Wireless or Bluetooth? Have you tried the mouse in a different port, blue centers are USB 3 and black centers are USB 2? For testing have you tried the reversing of the buttons, left for right?

Just a regular gaming mouse which I use every day. And it works just fine.

Then you’re not doing it right or you need a bigger hammer.

The issue is clearly not with the right mouse button itself. I’ve had the same problem since around April 12. It’s a wired mouse — when I press the right button, there’s a delay, and it often registers as a double click. I reassigned the function to the left button — the left one works fine, but the right still lags. I tried different USB ports and even a new mouse, but the problem remains the same.

Have you tried removing the mouse driver and restarting the computer so Windows can reinstall the driver? To restart the computer you can use the keyboard. Press the Windows key and the X key at the same time. Then you can use the arrow keys to select restart.
