SSD Drive Not Showing in Properties

I have a Corsair SSD drive , a very early iteration Force (??) It doesn't appear in My Computer and also in Disk Managment
It doesn't appear in Corsairs own software - Corsair SSD Toolbox

The drive is physically there in my computer. I thought it was the M drive . But it's not as I right click on it and it says USB SanSisk 3.2 Gen1 USB Device. It was a 120gb drive and this is the only drive that is near this capacity on computer.

Does this mean it's no good?

So you are guaranteeing this is safe to install and use? I am not reading that here. As soon as it found problems it says Start Fix and then redirects to a purchase page for the variouus versions.. What a joke !!!

Restoro Scam

OH yes it found problems, but as soon as I clicked Start Repair, a purchase window popped up. I am concerned that these repairs requires me to call them (read the MS post) and they want access to my PC

On the evening that I downloaded the app, purchased 1 year of the Premium plan, I did as instructed on their site which is to call them. The website indicates to call to get your KEY license activated. But, I have discovered the purpose is to market to the customer! BEWARE!

The person will ask one why they acquired Restoro. Then ask one numerous questions about how you use your computer. They request to get onto your PC

Restoro is crap. I think you are supposed to follow the manual directions on the page only.

The instructions aren't much better and not helpful the poster imanlien2020 didn't say that, the page is promoting Restoro and to download it to fix this problem.. Really poor advice then .

I have already checked the connnection, it's plugged into the SATA and the power cable.

There are no unassigned drives in the Disk Management section

Misconfigured BIOS settings: Sometimes, your BIOS settings might be set to the old IDE compatibility mode. This can cause the new SSD to not show up in Disk Management on Windows 11. The solution here is to change the SATA mode to AHCI.

Well I have a Samsung 840 EVO SSD connected and it is my boot (C:/ drive) and it s recognised and it is not a new SSD either. The Corsair was previously recognised.

Outdated SSD drivers: Outdated drivers are the chief cause of many issues. So, it is not surprising that you can face this issue if your SSD drivers are not up-to-date; you need to update your drivers to get past the problem here.

Can't update the drivers if my PC cannot find the drive, as I stated Corsair SSD Toolbox doesn't find or recognise it.

Thanks for the Malware too from Restoro, just ran MWB Premium Trial and 13 infections found all to do with Restoro uninstalled this POS ..

After the introduction of the SF-2000 series controller, some customers using drives with that controller reported issues such as BSOD and freezing. Always check to see if the drive in question shows up in the BIOS.
If it doesn't show there... it won't show anywhere in Windows.

I didn't see it in bios at all , Corsair not there nor the part number.

Well if it's not a problem with the power or data cables or connections... then you've got a seriously sick or dead drive.

No HD ever requires a battery. But the issue is fixed for the user anyway.

Sorry I didnt read it as I dont have your issue. Yes never click on anything that says restoro. I only meant for you to read it. It was just a link and info I found, thought it may help you. Never any intention of you downloading anything or getting a virus man.
P.S. that Restoro crap is on many legit websites I have visited in the past not just spam or crap sites, future reference.
