I have confirmed that it is a bad driver causing the explorer.exe crashes, I am thinking it might be my intel display drivers since the other guy in this thread also had problems with display drivers. Using DDU to see if it will fix my problem.

Arg... Display drivers weren't the issue. Any tips on how I should test each driver?

You need to BLOCK driver updates included in Windows Updates.
When MS includes driver updates, they sometime conflict with the installed drivers, causing problems.

You may have found the problem already, but in the background, MS messed up your driver(s) again.

This tutorial will show you how to disable driver updates included in Windows updates.
They will become Optional update if you ever need them...

After disabling the driver updates... then do your DDU again.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
Could the anomaly have anything to do with Directory Opus?
No. I installed directory opus since normal file explorer stopped working. It was a replacement of sorts.

I disabled them and did my DDU again, but my problem is still here.

Hi! Wow, psyched I found this thread. Been on W11 and Startallback for a few months now.

I have EXACTLY the same problem, but with my machine (Asrock 650/Ryzen 8600G), when I right click on a file or folder in Windows Explorer, not only does it hang Explorer, but it also starts the AMD Software control panel... every time. Eventually, whatever process hangs, it comes back and I can sometimes, do the file/folder operation I right clicked on it to do, but sometimes, the machine is basically hung and I need to reboot.

I was also thinking that somehow, StartAllBack could be doing something in the background, but not sure, nor sure how to debug. I also use it on my laptop (Lenovo AMD) and I haven't noticed the problem there.

I found out my problem wasn't start all back and was a faulty driver. I don't know how I should test my drivers and I don't want to use driver verifier (for obvious reasons)
