Statusbar add/change buttons (Window Explorer )

Could buttons be added to or changed in Explorer windows (see picture below)?

Welcome to the forum. I am assuming when you say "buttons" you actually mean icons to shortcuts or adding other functions. As far as that area of explorer you pointed to, NO you can not alter it. It might help if you could elaborate in more detail exactly what it is you're trying to do.

Of course, the term "button" refers to an icon shortcut (my oversight).
I am interested in incorporating my own icons or even altering the current one (yes, an icon is a command link that leads to a specific action).

However, maybe this can be accomplished with WindHawk.
