Switch off the monitor manually when you are not working on the notebook to save energy?

I thought you wanted it to keep playing music and that saving power was a secondary consideration.
No no, power saving was the intention by keeping playing the music.

Yes, mine behaves the same, but if I change the setting under Multiple displays to Extend these displays, then when I close the lid, the laptop's built-in screen turns off whereas the TV continues to receive the same signal like almost nothing happened.
Sorry, what setting(s) did I have to change to achieve that? Multiple displays means some option / settings? Where could I find it?

Just a very brief and subtle zoom out/in effect occurs on the TV whilst the Multiple displays section disappears from the Windows Settings app, and, at the same time also, the Windows Settings app window jumps to a slightly different position. Whereas, if I change the setting under Multiple displays to Show only on 2, then when I close the lid after that, that's when the TV screen turns black for ~2 seconds with only a white mouse arrow on it. So, then, it takes ~2 seconds for Windows 11 to recover itself from switch syndrome.
So (besides of the changed volumes here) almost the same visual effects like here obviously. After some time not having shut down the notebook (hibernation instead) or completely having restarted it, the switching / positioning time (of windows, icons on the System Tray), etc. gets longer when switching.

I haven't thoroughly tested it TBH, but that's only because I never really felt the need to turn off my built-in screen whilst HDMI audio was in use. My laptop's HDMI output is hooked up to my TV, and my TV's HDMI output (with eARC) is hooked up to my 'prepro' (preamp/processor, Emotiva UMC-200). Also, my laptop's USB 2.0 port is hooked up to the asynchronous USB (XMOS Audio 2.0) input interface of my USB DAC (Eastern Electric MiniMax DAC Supreme), and my USB DAC's analog unbalanced RCA outputs are hooked up to my prepro's analog (Front Left + Front Right) unbalanced RCA inputs. When I switch this prepro to Direct Mode, this prepro acts as an all-analog preamp (so the analog audio signal that it receives from the USB DAC does not get converted back to digital). The analog (Front Left + Front Right) unbalanced RCA outputs of this prepro are hooked up to my separate stereo power amp (Emotiva XPA-2 gen 1) with a pair of big floorstanding speakers (Canton Vento 890.2 DC gloss black, bi-wired, with in-akustik LS-1002 speaker cables). Always use WASAPI output to play the Hi-Rez FLAC files with bitperfet playback. Also always, choose good quality recordings, and avoid crappy remasters. Microsoft in, Microsoft out. If you mean what I get. 😛

Well...holy...yes yes, of course, that's what I mean. Sounds like as if there were quite more / other devices and
cabling on your system than on my primitive one. So a different setting in total than mine.

Many thanks for the screenshot. So the switching settings here

So there seems to be nothing I could change here to achieve another result.

Would it be possible to create a shortcut or e.g. a desktop icon to set the brightness to the lowest possible brightness and a short cut for e.g. a middle brightness?

Or to change the current shortcut (Fn+F5/F6) to stepwise in/decrease the brightness to e.g. Fn+left/right arrow?

The lines with SetAcValueIndex are the ones needed to adjust the brightness when the laptop is on AC power. Wheareas the lines with SetDcValueIndex adjust the brightness when the laptop is on battery power so, if you don't need that, then you can just delete these.

Yes, the simplest solution to this is to just run the batchfile invisibly from a .vbs that looks like this:
Rich (BB code):
CreateObject("WScript.Shell").Run """%windir%\System32\cmd.exe"" /c start """" ""C:\tools\screen brightness\screen_brightness_0.bat""",0

It's called a VBScript (Visual Basic Script). The .vbs filetype is opened with the Windows Scripting Host (WSH) on Windows by default. So if you copypaste the script code to notepad and save it as a .vbs file, then you could point your shortcut to it─as opposed to pointing it to the batchfile.

Normally, the window should be closed automatically, as the /c parameter in cmd.exe /c specifically is used to accomplish exactly that. If you substitute /c with /k, then the window should stay open. To me, this indicates that Microsoft sucks and can't do anything right. They replaced the console host with yet another cabbage, and the Windows insider MVPs on here just let it all happen like they usually do... 🤷‍♂️

By far the easiest workaround would be to add a line at the end of the batchfile:
Rich (BB code):
exit

the shortcuts / switching on / off the display do not work anymore.

When I press the shortcuts this is shown:

I copied DisplaySwitch.exe to C:\Windows\System32. When I then press the shortcut nothing happens.

I checked the (just) copyied DisplaySwitch.exe with my original DisplaySwitch.exe. They have different checksums now. How is that possible?

What could I do to make the shortcuts (turning off / on the monitor) work again?

I just saw, after running that AdWareMalwarebytes program again, obviously the same crap is there again:
