I will switch to Linux finally Debian and Arch
Hi when we tweak stuff we desync gpedit with registry

We have the regsitry option but in gpedit it's missing/not set/ not visible.

How to fix correctly how to avoid and why and who made this desync even possible, who designed the OS like this?

Give me a name of a MS employee so I can blame them specifically.

But also plz tell me how to sync those.

I'm on Home, so I have no GPedit. The registry is "lower" than GPedit, it has more control over settings.
So the greyed out items may just be items MS doesn't want you to mess around with.

But... the registry will let you mess around with them anyhow.

In Windows, control goes from most to least powerful (left to right)...

Kernel > Registry > GPedit > GUI (graphical user interface)

The Group Policy Editor only contains a subset of the available settings in the registry. If it isn't available through Group Policy Editor, ask yourself this question: should I really be making this registry change, is there a better way? If you really must have to, then please ensure that you've taken a a backup prior to making the change(s).

The editor is essentially just a UI which exposes some keys to the user and then provides a convenient way of saving those changes back to the corresponding registry keys.

OK so ideally there will be a proper Open Source tool like Policy Plus which control all tweaks registry, pol files, domain and non domain joined scenarios, and current kernel happenings ?

And have the correct GUI to enable all this.
