It works for me

If Restore is selected instead of mount it goes immediately to file view so any folders/files can be selected to copy out.

I dont know what is wrong with yours

Yep, if I want to view a backup in Acronis, I just mount the image and then browse it like a disk.

I don't do file backups with Hasleo, but I mounted a Hasleo image backup and was able to browse it just fine.

It's "A FACT" - Not A Feeling. That's like saying Opera is voted as best browser - and showing a pool from 2011. Macrium Reflect officially discontinued its free version with the final - unsupported version (v8.0.7167) released in January 2024. Which means - most of those votes from 2022 are based on the Free Version (while still receiving updates - till last version: v8.0.7783 - releasedon Dec 1, 2023). Hasleo Backup - is not even on that list - since it was still an unstable beta version back then. I'm talking facts - not feelings, since this topic/question is about a practical software - not the Kardashians (or some other feelings based subject).

It's helpful to point out the facts about that pool being outdated - from a time when Macrium Reflect Free was still receiving updates (a very important detail - and among the reasons was favorited back then). Since it's Number 1 in that list - by a long shot (with 255 votes - next in line having only 30). So yes, it's highly relevant - to point out that "Macrium reflect Free is a dead project for quite awhile now (no more updates)" - which you didn't mention. Thus, from those who voted that free, stable, updated version (as was the case in 2022) - some probably switched to a different back-up tool. Which once again, makes that pool completely irrelevant. What if he's not interested in using a software - which doesn't get any updates anymore? Would definitely like to know this important details - while asking for a recommendation.

Nevermind! I didn't even think to look in the root of C: upon Mount!!! I'm an idiot! :facepalm:

(EaseUS Todo Backup doesn't work that way, it just opens it's container folder right away)

The user interface for the MOUNT feature in Hasleo is a bit cryptic, I had to look at it for a minute the first time to figure out how to use it. OTOH, it works great, I like it better than the Acronis mount feature.

Yeah..., I couldn't get past the part where it was requiring me to assign a drive letter, when it had already done so, and mounted it.
I was just too dismal to look under This PC!

Under Tools...Mount click on the image you want to mount. Then click on Next.

Tick the box for the drive / partition and then, in the Drive letter column, double click where it says

Leave on Auto-assign or chooose a letter.

Then click on Proceed. Now you can open File Explorer and access your files. Either click on File Exploorer in the Task Bar or click on the Folder icon in the top-right of Hasleo's window.

Thanks for that! I guess I just expected it to open the folder automatically.
I didn't think to go look for a mounted virtual folder under This PC, which, incidentally, was hidden behind the Hasleo UI!

Hasleo also has Delta Restore like Macrium which can make restores very quick if you just messed up some setting.

I was like Edwin, I kinda' expected it to present me with a prompt to pick a drive letter. I don't know why the extra click was called for, the only logical thing you'd be doing at that point is picking a drive letter!

The poll, not pool, was about Macrium Reflect, not Macrium Reflect free. I don't know why you are so angry. Why not write your own poll to include Macrium Reflect X and Keeper and all the others you favour? But please stop bashing me, it's against the spirit of this forum.

I haven't played around with Hasleo that much on my Laptop, EaseUS is my go-to on Desktop...,
it allows me to open the folder straight away...
