Solved Task Manager Processes show a subtask. How to delete it?

I have used an app (Logger32) for years. Recently added Microsoft Expressions. Now when I try too open Logger32 I get an error that Microsoft Expressions Web 4 is trying to open. I then open Task Manager Processes and see this:

I cannot eliminate the invader MICROSOET EXPRESSIONS WEB 4. Is there a way to get rid of the invader so I can just open LOGGER32?

Logger32 is the "parent" task.

Microsoft Expressions was discontinued a long time ago.

If you haven't done so, you might check the Logger32 website for their latest version.

Just to confirm, the current version on their website is 4.0.352, released August 2026

After doing some research, it appears to be a known file association problem with Expression (out of support for almost 14 years) and Logger32.

Logger32 doesn't need Expression, so I would suggest uninstalling it and see if that corrects the issue.

I do not know what Microsoft Expressions is. If it is an app, use Revo Uninstaller Free to uninstall it.

If you have recently installed it, you could also attempt a system restore to a point made prior to when it was installed. Or the best solution is to restore a system image if you have made one which is always adviseable.

Somehow I fixed it by disabling Williams Installer. After restart LOGGER32 loads fine. Thanks for all the ideas!
