Solved Task Manager!

Hi,

My laptops RAM usage never exceeds 6.6 gigs of 16, despite that I have multiple browser tabs, Word documents opened, VLC running along with a few USB and BT devices attached and running?

Care to explain what does committed, cached, paged and non paged imply the attachment.

Should I disable or decrease page file size to make more usage of RAM.....just a guess.

The reason is I customized before placing an order, from original 8 to 16.

4 Word documents and 3 Brave browser tabs, along with watching a movie playing on VLC.

OR is it good cause the laptop still is extremely responsive despite no reboot in days....

You could run this portable benchmark. Set it to available ram and keep an eye on ram usage.

Another test..

Installed it on the lap vs. portable as you suggested @Fabler2

Is that ok or should I uninstall using Revo?

You can set it to available ram (9 gig in your case) and task manager will show your ram usage increase. Looks good.

How do I set available ram to 9?

Should it keep running, since after exit when reopened app block size is set at 1?

When I reopen the portable app it's default for me is 1GB. It only runs the benchmark once until you run it again.

@Alexey2912 one thing's for sure you have faster ram than I have

Shows the speed benchmark of the ram and because you thought that perhaps the ram usage wasn't properly being recorded this benchmark would show up in task manager.

What are "Commited Memory", "Cached", "Paged", "Not-paged pool" & How They are Different with "In-Use Memory"

I was thinking to add some RAM to my computer as it goes slow these days, so i came to the Taskbar to see memory usage statistics but i had difficulty guessing the real meaning of some memory mana...
