Taskbar apps take 10 seconds to respond.

New PC, 2 weeks old. Windows 11 pro, (Version 22H2)
AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics
32GB RAM, 1TB SSD (89% free space)

This is an annoying development. Clicking a taskbar icon used to result in instantaneous loading of the programme (Excel, Word etc)

Last couple of days, clicking on icon does NOTHING for 10 seconds, then loads the app.

Bizarrely, if I click an icon during the first few seconds of bootup Desktop arriving, loading is instant.

A few minutes later clicking on any app icon produces the 10-second delay.

(Browsers, Netflix shortcut etc all still load instantaneously). Malwarebytes not running a scan, task manager shows no real CPU or memory usage. Just hangs for 10 seconds before loading.
Any help/solutions please?

Try to Restart explorer.

I have restarted everything. I reboot the PC.It makes no difference.
(Apart from, as I say in my post, the first few seconds after reboot, all loads quickly.)
A few minutes later, any app takes 10 seconnds to respond

What doesn't load right away?
Which version of windows.

I wrote the precise spec:

No, this happened suddenly yesterday, no recent update installed
(I have not installed KB5030310)
Any update earlier than that was installed before I purchased this new (from manufacturer)

Have you installed new apps?
Have you tried to change color or change how the Taskbar
is behaving in Settings?
Any changes you made in Settings?

Nope, no changes to anything.
That's why it is so puzzling!

Sometimes, this behavior is related to Widgets. I personally don't
use them and have uninstalled them but, if you like, you can also
verify that this is or is not the case by uninstalling the widgets apps.
You can reinstall them if it doesn't help or just keep them off if you
don't use them.

If you want to uninstall them then, follow this tutorial:

It sounds like something you have running at startup that's causing it. That's why you don't have the issue immediately after desktop loads.

Have a look through the apps / anti-makware etcetera that you've recently installed. Sort by date installed.

Right click the taskbar and select Task Manager. Click the startup tab. Remove anything you don't need at startup and restart.

You can also so this from Windows Settings --> Apps --> Startup. - Toggle the switch from on (enabled) to off (disabled), as you'll see in task manager.

An update to my weird situation.
My PC has a MSI Radeon RX 6650 XT 128-bit 8GB GDDR6 DP/HDMI Dual Torx 4.0 Gaming Graphics Card with FreeSync DirectX 12 VR Ready OC Fans, V502-063R card installed.

Clicking Word, Excel, Powerpoint icons on taskbar, takes about 10 seconds to do anything, then instant load
If I remove the graphics card, and only use the native graphics on my PC, clicking those icons load instantaneously.
I reinstall the graphics card and am back to 10 seconds delay
