where is the taskbar context menu, i only have taskbar settings and how can i create new toolbars ?

Same question here, CatWeazel. I want my taskbar on top because of sharing my screen in Skype. I also want to create a new toolbar, but so far, I cannot. Sigh . . .

You don't right now.

The taskbar is apparently being migrated to a completely separate process, and is incomplete. At least, that is the going theory.

Pinning apps is easy - run the app, then right-click the app's icon in the taskbar and pin. But pinning folders is a bit harder, as opening an Explorer window opens the already pinned Explorer icon.

I already have Skype, Firefox, and File Explorer pinned to the taskbar. I've also made the taskbar and icons small so I can fit those I use most on.

Actually, there's an easier way, John. Open the Start Menu, right click on the app you want to pin and choose Pin to Taskbar. If the app is in the All Apps list, right click the app, hover over More and choose Pin to Taskbar.

Easy peasy.

No, it doesn't show for all apps that way Wynona.

That is for the Spotify app. But a running app it always shows for.

However, it may be that it does not show in the start menu until you've run the app at least once - I was just looking for more apps it doesn't show on and every one is an app I've not yet run. but if that is the case, and you have to run it anyway, might as well run it and pin it while it is running....

Hallo,
the new winaero tweaker 1.30 brings back the old taskbar with the toolbars. But you must install the open-shell, because the startmenu does not work, after aktivate the old taskbar. And the Widgets are missing or does not work.
